Fitting out London's finest buildings
During the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Athletes Village housed up to 17,000 competitors. However, its legacy is set to endure long into the future, following an extensive conversion that has launched the regeneration of a neglected corner of East London.
As well as 3,000 new homes, East Village features everything you might expect in a vibrant community, including a medical centre, an international train station, a retail development and a brand new school. We’re proud to have played our part in creating London’s newest neighbourhood, bringing expert craftsmanship to this large-scale, complex, high-compliance project.
With such an extensive task on our hands, converting the Athletes Village was no mean feat. However, by working closely with our main contractor Lend Lease, our sixty-strong team ably converted 600 units into stunning residential apartments that will be rented by local people. And, as ever, each element was handed over on time and defect-free in every single case.
