Back of the net! Raising £1000+ for mental health

On 14th May, an enthusiastic team from Brown & Carroll competed in the Mental Health World Cup at QPR’s Loftus Road stadium.

The popular 5-a-side football tournament is held each year to raise money for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) – the charity that takes a stand against male suicide – as well as other mental health community activities.

Unfortunately, due to injury, we could only field four players – Morgan Conn, Harrison Lomax, Rikesh Devshi and Lewis Davis. Luckily some of their friends stepped up to the plate giving us a full and motivated team.

The Brown & Carroll team represented Wales, coming top of their group against Spain (OV Major Projects), Italy (MWHC), USA (Ampers&Floors) and Senegal (Mectric Solutions). While they didn’t win the tournament overall, we’re delighted they have so far raised over £1,000 for such worthy causes.
