Making waves for cleaner oceans

Our world is the only one we have and doing business in a sustainable way is a commitment we take very seriously. That’s why we’re proud we’ve become a member of the Big Blue Ocean Cleanup.

By supporting the initiative, we’re helping to buy much needed clean up equipment to keep the oceans clean from single-use plastics, protect marine wildlife and support the development of innovative technologies.

The Ocean Protection Project is aimed at small to medium-sized businesses which want to make a positive contribution to their local community and help support healthy oceans. The project also runs free educational workshops and provides resources for schools around the world; inspiring every generation to take action and protect our blue planet.

Trevor Baker, Senior Health & Safety Manager, organised the membership for us and said:

“I’m involved with a paddleboard club, SUPsect, which use the River Chelmer as a teaching venue. I’ve seen how rubbish finds its way into our rivers and eventually into our oceans. Brown & Carroll’s involvement in the Ocean Protection Project is an important commitment to the environment and something we can all get involved in.”
