National Apprenticeship Week 2017

National Apprenticeship Week 2017

We value the individual contributions of every single employee, whether they’re on our factory floor, in our offices, on site, or on the road. Recently to mark the 10th anniversary of National Apprenticeship Week we shone the spotlight on some of the 23 apprentices that we’ve invested in over the last decade, 21 of whom are still with us, and celebrated their achievements.

These included Darren Rossiter who joined us 17 years ago as a young labourer and is now a Project Manager, and Marie Cook who is among just 1% of female onsite construction workers. Other apprentices include past winners of prestigious events that promote excellence in the industry, such as Jordan Heard and David Guiton, who have both triumphed in the Worshipful Company of Joiners and Ceilers Craft Competition.

Managing Director, Paul Carroll, says:

“By investing in apprenticeships and passing on years of accumulated skills & knowledge, we are developing the home-grown talent that is the lifeblood of this company and the future of our industry. It also provides fresh impetus, keeping us abreast of the latest developments, technology and practice in all areas.”
