Sustainability isn't just about caring for the environment. It's about supporting communities too. This is why we do all we can to create a positive impact on both our local community and our workforce.
As part of STEMNET (the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network), we run inspirational workshops at a local school, as well as providing work experience opportunities to local students. We are also proud to be a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer, taking on at least two apprentices every year – 90% of whom have taken up full-time employment with us.
Where possible, we support the local labour initiative and economy by sourcing services from like-minded specialists in Essex and the outskirts of London. We also work with smaller local joinery businesses, helping them to gain FSC®C002962 certification and using them as a source of ready-planed and prepared timber.
We regularly sponsor our employees, clients, suppliers and partners as they take part in many local and national fundraising activities. And as a company, we also take part in a variety of charitable events to help serve a number of very worthy causes.
We have a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery, and implement effective controls and procedures to ensure it does not take place anywhere in our company or our supply chains. We also expect the same approach from our contractors, suppliers and other business partners, and expect our suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same high standards. Download Statement.
