Brockwell Park is a large, historic park located between Brixton, Dulwich and Herne Hill, in the London Borough of Lambeth, offering commanding views of the city skyline and Central London.

As well as ornamental ponds, formal flower beds, a walled ‘Old English’ herbaceous flower garden and a charming 19th century clock tower, Brockwell Park contains a number of historic buildings, including Brockwell Hall and the Brockwell Lido. In addition, various other sporting facilities make it a valuable area of open space within a densely populated community.

The London Wildlife Trust required funding in order to plant wildlife friendly hedging around the perimeter of the park to improve biodiversity. Although there are currently a large number of trees on the site, most are fully mature, therefore new planting of younger tree whips is also required to ensure a succession of trees is maintained as some of the older trees decline.

In all, Brown & Carroll sponsored 385 indigenous plants, mostly perimeter hedging and some trees. We have dedicated this planting to construction firm Mace, whom we have worked with on numerous London projects, and who share our commitment to sustainable business practices.
