A landmark new dining experience within one of London’s most historic private members’ clubs

A Luxurious new restaurant

Set within the Grade II* listed East Wing of The Hurlingham Club, Brasserie 1869 opened in August 2025 and marks the first new restaurant at the Club in decades. Designed by Jestico + Whiles as the centrepiece of the Club’s East Wing redevelopment, it forms part of the wider masterplan to enhance member facilities while preserving the estate’s distinguished architectural legacy.

Brown & Carroll were appointed by Knight Harwood to deliver the complete joinery package for the new brasserie, private dining room and bar, together with adjoining event and hospitality spaces including Palm Court, the Ranelagh Room and the Broomhouse Suite.

A fusion of heritage and innovation

Working sensitively within this historic building, our craftspeople created and installed bespoke panelling, upholstery and architectural joinery throughout, balancing traditional and contemporary techniques to meet the exacting standards of a modern luxury fitout. Rich veneers, hand-finished timber surfaces and tailored profiles complement the refined interior palette, bringing understated opulence to the Club’s enduring character.

The result is a seamless fusion of heritage and innovation – a collection of elegant, adaptable spaces that reflect the Club’s long-standing tradition of excellence and hospitality.
