London’s legendary jazz venue

Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club is the most iconic jazz venue in the UK. Over the years the club has showcased a huge array of talent from both sides of the Atlantic. The list of jazz greats who have played at the venue is almost endless and includes everyone from Ella Fitzgerald and Miles Davis through to Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse. George Melly and John Chilton’s Feetwarmers held a Christmas residency for nearly 30 years while, amongst others, Curtis Mayfield, Van Morrison, Jamie Cullum and George Benson have all recorded live albums in this legendary room. Famously, Jimi Hendrix’s last performance was at Ronnie Scott’s.

Making a wonderful world – in just five weeks

Given its incredible history, we were very proud to be entrusted with a complete refit of the club’s auditorium and reception. Within a tight, five-week closure period, we installed a bespoke ceiling, created banquette seating, fitted beautiful, polished timber wall panelling, raised the stage and made it wider, installed new brass balustrading and did much more. We even refurbished a Hammond organ, French polishing it to the highest standard.

A transformation that’s music to jazz fans’ ears
