Fitting out London’s finest buildings
Brown & Carroll has completed work on the redesigned Rose Room at Annabel’s, the private members’ club in Mayfair.
The room, originally created as a dining room, has been reworked as a more relaxed lounge and bar, giving members somewhere to meet, drink and unwind before or after dining elsewhere in the club.
It is the first room to be reworked since Annabel’s relocated from 44 to 46 Berkeley Square in spring 2018. Brown & Carroll delivered the original fitout at the new club, working across five floors and 17 individually designed rooms.
For the Rose Room, Brown & Carroll worked to plans by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, creating bespoke furniture and upholstery for the new setting.
The furniture was made by Brown & Carroll’s upholsterers over around six months, using specified materials including silks, mohairs and velvets.
One of the main challenges was the installation. With Annabel’s continuing to operate, Brown & Carroll had just one day to complete the furniture changeover.
Darryl Buckley, Projects Director at Brown & Carroll, said:
“We had a day to swap over the furnishings, starting at midnight and finishing by noon to ensure minimal disruption to members.”
