Fitting out London’s finest buildings
This important building is now the West End’s tallest residential tower, home to 82 luxury apartments and is one of the tallest buildings we’ve ever worked on.
Our expert team, led by Terry Burke, has completed an extensive fit out of the apartments, including the penthouse, lift lobbies and reception area. The entrance lobby is now home to impressive oak ceiling panels which run the entire length of the building, either side of a curving spine beam. The triangular panels were all made in our Basildon factory and the fitting of them really tested our geometry knowledge.
All entrance doors to the apartments had to meet PAS 24 standards, an enhanced security standard designed to assess how well a door and frame can withstand intruder attempts. Centre Point is the first time that a double timber door set has achieved this standard of security.
Centre Point is the biggest procurement of oak veneer we’ve ever done. We manufactured 55,000 sqm of oak veneer in total, which was all fabricated in-house. Luxury living means excellent attention to detail and there was zero tolerance within the client’s design brief. A huge thank you to the team involved for yet again delivering work to such exacting standards.
