Apprenticeship Awards hat-trick

As a business that relies on skilled tradesmen and women, we have long been a supporter of apprenticeships. Many talented individuals have successfully achieved qualifications with us and we take on a new cohort every year. So we couldn’t have been prouder when we recently picked up three awards recognising our ongoing commitment to this approach.

Firstly, congratulations to David Guiton who beat several other finalists, to be crowned Best Apprentice/Trainee of the Year at
the London Region Construction Training Group (LRCTG) awards. LRCTG aims to recognise and support those helping to fill the current and future skills gap in the construction sector.

Next it was off to Newmarket Racecourse for the East of England heat of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2017, where Mike Pearson received a well-deserved Highly Commended award in the Apprentice Champion category. We are also immensely proud that Brown & Carroll received a Highly Commended award in the Medium-Sized Employer of the Year category, which Trevor Baker and David Guiton collected on our behalf.

Paul Carroll said;

‘We are delighted with this award, especially given that there were 800 nominations in the South East regions. It validates a decade of investment in apprenticeships and our vision of developing the home grown talent required for the ongoing success of our industry.’
