Almost 13,000 trees are set to be planted in three sites across Basildon. And we are proud to be involved in it.
The trees will be planted at the following sites:
Gloucester Park – 6,900 trees
Miles Gray Road – 1,700 trees
Christopher Martin Road – 4,100 trees
said Paul Carroll, Managing Director.
The trees include a variety of species native to the British Isles, which is an important part of tree planting projects such as this. And they’ll be planted using sustainable methods, including composted mulch and sustainable guards and stakes.
Essex County Council’s Forestry and Woodland Officer, Tom Moat, said:
With the continued challenge we face to protect our environment, we hope there will be more projects like this to be a part of.
added Councillor Craig Rimmer, Chairman of the Leisure and Environment Committee.
