Brown and Carroll gives the Fun Walk Trust a helping hand!

We’ve been very proud to help the Fun Walk Trust over the last six years.

The Trust publicises an annual Fun Walk event in our area and creates material that helps local charities and community groups organise their own sponsored walks during the selected month.

An integral part of the event is the ‘Bonus Pot’, which is generated from donations from local businesses. This money is distributed pro rata to participating organisations, giving them added motivation to take part. Brown & Carroll is delighted to contribute to the Bonus Pot for 2024!

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Fun Walk trustees John Baron (then MP for Basildon and Billericay), Sylvia Kent, Christine Brewster and Sandra Bastow. They brought fantastic news that local businesses have already donated over £30,000 to this year’s Bonus Pot.

John Baron expressed his gratitude: “On behalf of the trustees and team, I would like to convey a personal thank you to Brown and Carroll, and to all the other sponsors that have pledged a donation to the 2024 Fun Walk Bonus Pot.”

Our own Steve Brown was delighted that the Fun Walk Trust had successfully raised so much. “We have been supporting the Fun Walk since 2018,” he said, “as this is a great way of providing important funding to many local good causes. It also aligns really well with our Social Impact objectives. We wish all participants well and look forward to hearing of the total monies raised.”

This year, the sponsored walks will take place across our area on different dates in September. If you’d like to donate or take part, visit the Fun Walk website to learn more. In 2023, the event raised an incredible total of £85,102. Let’s aim to raise even more this year!
