The last few years have been tough for many people. From lockdowns to a cost-of-living crisis, lots of factors have taken their toll on mental wellbeing.
13 people across the business undertook MHFA training course, delivered by BG Training on behalf of construction industry charity the Lighthouse Club. The training took place over two days and participants learned a wide range of skills including identifying the signs of poor mental health, how to encourage people to get professional support, plus active listening and empathy. They also learned practical ways of practising self-care and learned to use the MHFAider Support App, which allows them to access round-the-clock digital support, training resources and learning opportunities.
Thank you to Sarah and Liz from BG Training for delivering such an informative and valuable course. And remember, if you’re struggling with your mental wellbeing, reach out – there are people out there who can help.
