At Brown & Carroll we are used to fitting out the finest interiors, working on high-end projects featuring complex designs with the ‘wow’ factor. However we recently worked on a pro bono project that was not about delivering visual impact, but practical quality that will make a real difference to people operating in an entirely different context.

The Prison Reform Trust is an independent UK charity which scrutinises the penal system and aims to effect change in policy and practice by bringing to light information for public and parliamentary debate. As an independent body, they do not receive Government funding and are therefore reliant on donations.

When their headquarters in London needed refurbishment worth £250,000 they had to find a way of sourcing the work at no cost to the charity or the tax payer. Overbury was one of the firms who offered to help and as a long term partner of theirs, we subsequently contributed by designing, manufacturing and installing an additional tea point for Trust staff, as well as shelving units for filing.
